Sorry, to hear about your weekend. The 5K went very well. We had 7 people show up. A few of us walked the rest ran the entire 5K. It was nice we where done and on our way home before 7:45am. The tail was nice. We will have to do that one again one...

Welcome to the Y-Malawi Community!

Y-Malawi is a growing group of people and churches dedicated to transformation for the people of Malawi as we mobilize our churches to put faith into action. Our community where we can connect with one another and share our stories, vision and heart for the "Warm Heart of Africa". Please explore these pages and invite others from your church to join us! As you take part, be respectful of our common cause and keep the Y-Malawi Network content and photos focused on Y-Malawi. Many of us are enthusiastically involved with other causes but we would ask that we not use this as a platform for outside promotion. I am going

It is hard to believe that in less than four weeks I will be going to Malawi myself. I am humbled and blessed to have such a privilege. Africa and the areas where HIV/AIDS has struck so hard has been on my heart and I asked God to let me see in person what was happening there, and I am now going. I was greatly touched by the World Vision "Step into Africa" AIDS experience at the first of this month at my church, it was profound, so I am even more excited to be going to Africa. God is good.

Meeting in Malawi

I am with the Redondo Beach CA Breakwater Church that is sending about 30 people to Malawi in June where we will visit about 40 villages.

In between visiting clusters of villages, we will be resting in hotels or church buildings around Blantyre. If Y-Malawi has any people in that area at that time, it would be great to meet and break bread and share experiences.

AFRICA!!!!!!!!

I LEAVE ON SATURDAY FOR MALAWI AFRICA!!!! THE BIGGEST THING I HAVE EVER WANTED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, SINCE I WAS THREE-ISH, IS ABOUT TO COME TRUE!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I AM FREAKING OUT, apparently!!! GOTTA GO PACK FOR AFRICA!

OH MY GOSH NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THAT! PRAISE JESUS I AM GOING TO AFRICA TO SERVE THE LORD!

Spiritual Multiplication and Theological Training

I know many of you are pretty fired up by the recent So Cal visit from several of our Y-Malawi partners. There are some immediate and upcoming opportunities for you to get involved, whichever coast you live on.

We've added Groups to The Y-Malawi Network!

Groups is a place where each church or team can establish their own Y-Malawi discussions and networking within the overall community. We can also use this to establish groups around trips, either upcoming or past. Each group can establish their own identity, start discussion forums, etc. Enjoy!
